Unique delicious pastas and pizzas. Upscale casual ambience. Excellent service. I had the Diavola pizza..delicious!
Second time here just as good as the first, if not better. The food is delicious and comes out quickly. The COBBLER OMG. Amazing - just so delicious.
So glad to have made it back to dine inside. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was friendly and efficient. Upbeat open seating and great bar seating.
If you want to come to annex, you need to book a reservation in advance! Some of our favorites dishes include the arancini, meatballs, carbonara pizza, and the corn pasta (seasonal). The corn pasta is so unique and a must try! For cocktails, try a firecracker it has the perfect amount of spice!
Very popular place in Fresno (reservations are highly recommended). When walking to the restaurant, I can smell delicious wood-fire grilled food/pizza. Enjoy the variety of cocktails (old fashioned is strongly recommended). We ordered their Appetizer arancini with basil and tomatoes sauce (yes most order), corn homemade pasta. Carbonara pizza and grilled Salmon with broccoli onside (Salmon with perfect temperature)!!! Overall, we had a great memorable dining experience.
We ordered takeout, as I couldn't wait for a late reservation. The restaurant was filled with patrons. I walked in and was immediately greeted by three nice ladies. It was mood lighting inside with music playing. The ac felt so cool and inviting. My food was ready exactly at the expected time. I brought silverware and napkins so we could eat in the car. Why did I go...to get the Fresno State Corn Agnolotti. It is a limited time offer and a must order! The pasta was perfectly cooked and filled with cheese and corn. It was smothered in a sweet buttery corn sauce and had shaved parm over it. So, so good! The Kale salad was fresh, crispy and had plenty of sliced almonds. We substituted the dressing for a lemon vinaigrette, which really amped the freshness! The polenta was smooth and tasty. The meatball was perfectly cooked and had a spicy sauce on it. The meatball itself was a bit lacking in flavor. Thank goodness for the sauce! Definitely a special place to eat. Takeout, with tip was $72, but well worth the splurge, just to have the main dish. The Fresno State Corn Agnolottiis is so good it was on the Food Network episode of The Best Thing I Ever Ate. I will be back for that before the season is over
Service is top notch! For an Italian place, I feel like I expected more based off the high yelp rating. Everything we had was good, however I expected it all to be better. Tagliatelle- I feel like the portion was a little small. It was good but it could be a little more flavorful. Braised short rib- not bad, but have had better for cheaper Zepolle- not a fan Pizza- pretty good. Didn't get to try it but the kids were fans. Ribs special - was kind of bland. It needs like a side of sauce or something to add to it. Tried two different wines and both were very good! Overall the restaurant is beautiful and the service is amazing. The food just didn't hit as much as I'd like.
Hadn't been here in quite sometime and now wish we had come back sooner. We made a last minute reservation that put us at a high top pizza station, which turned out to be incredible. These guys work like a well oiled machine and it was a lot of fun to watch. My go to appetizer is the Arancini, which is filled with a pesto risotto. My wife chose the bone barrow, which I have never ordered because of the gelatinous texture, BUT it was incredible! The depth of flavor was great. For entrees, she did a sweet pea agnolotti. She loved it. I don't like peas, so one taste and I was good. I had the tagliatelle with lamb ragu. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Lamb was good, but a little gamey. Can't wait to come back sooner than later.
